C.O.P.S. Co-Workers for Couples Weekend

Loading Events

C.O.P.S. Co-Workers for Couples Weekend is planned for surviving Co-workers, active or retired, and their spouse/domestic partner* (21 years or older) of law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty, as determined by C.O.P.S. criteria.

  • *Domestic Partner is defined as a long term committed legal or interpersonal relationship between two individuals who live together and share a common domestic life (i.e., not just a boy/girlfriend).

C.O.P.S. Co-Workers for Couples Weekend offers a safe and confidential environment for couples to openly share their grief and gain insight into each other’s experiences. Oftentimes, surviving co-workers struggle to articulate their feelings to friends and family after losing a close colleague. All the while their significant others may worry about their loved ones’ well-being and feel unsure how to provide the needed care and support.

During this weekend, you’ll have the chance to attend group sessions facilitated by licensed mental health professionals with extensive backgrounds working with law enforcement officers and their families. These clinicians offer resources to equip you with valuable tools to enhance your relationship and navigate daily challenges. Additionally, you’ll enjoy engaging in couple-focused activities that provide connection, laughter, and allow you to build a supportive network with others who truly understand your journey.
