SUMMARY:C.O.P.S. Young Adults Camp
DESCRIPTION:C.O.P.S. Young Adults Camp is planned for surviving children and siblings (15-20 years of age) of law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty\, as determined by C.O.P.S. criteria. Other relatives and friends are not eligible to attend.\nSuffering the loss of a parent or older sibling can be a challenging journey for teenagers and young adults. Young Adults Camp gives teenagers a sense of independence\, marking a vital step for them to engage in a program away from their parent/guardian. \nThis camp provides a unique opportunity for young survivors to connect with licensed mental health professionals who lead specially crafted sessions and provide campers with resources to help with grief and everyday life. At Young Adults Camp\, participants will share cabins with peers their age and an adult mentor who is either a law enforcement officer or a surviving adult child\, engaging in both enjoyable and challenging on/off-site activities while surrounded by a supportive community that truly understands their experiences.\n     For more information and to register\, visit Young Adults\n     The registration deadline is June 27\nWAStateC.O.P.S. offers financial assistance for survivors to attend their weekends.\nVisit our Resources page to download the Weekend Eligibility form\nOr contact us at Info@WashingtonStateCops.Org and we’ll email the form to you.
