DESCRIPTION:C.O.P.S. Adult Children’s Weekend is planned for surviving adult children and their spouse/domestic partner* (21 years or older) of law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty\, as determined by C.O.P.S. criteria.  Couples\, as well as individual Adult Children\, are encouraged to attend.\n\n *Domestic Partner is defined as a long term committed legal or interpersonal relationship between two individuals who live together and share a common domestic life (i.e.\, not just a boy/girlfriend).\n\nSuffering the loss of a parent\, as a child or as an adult\, can leave a lasting impact\, especially during significant life events. C.O.P.S. Licensed mental health professionals will be on hand to provide group sessions and optional individual counseling as needed\, ensuring you receive the necessary support to help you continue on your grief journey. Support sessions are coupled with wellness activities\, giving you the chance to challenge yourself and connect with others. With the peaceful escape from daily life this weekend offers\, we hope you will leave with a renewed sense of personal growth and a strong network of support for your journey ahead. \n     For more information and to register\, visit Adult Children\n     The registration deadline is May 19\nWAStateC.O.P.S. offers financial assistance for survivors to attend their weekends.\nVisit our Resources page to download the Weekend Eligibility form\nOr contact us at Info@WashingtonStateCops.Org and we’ll email the form to you.
