C.O.P.S. Adult Children’s Retreat is planned for surviving adult children and their spouse/domestic partner* (21 years or older) of law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty, as determined by C.O.P.S. criteria.  Couples, as well as individual Adult Children, are encouraged to attend.

  • *Domestic Partner is defined as a long term committed legal or interpersonal relationship between two individuals who live together and share a common domestic life (i.e., not just a boy/girlfriend).

Whether a surviving adult child lost their parent when they were young or as an adult, they can struggle with their loss as they experience significant milestones throughout their life. C.O.P.S. Adult Children’s Retreat is designed to help you through your grief and give you the tools you need to handle these difficult reminders as well as any others that you may encounter in the future.

C.O.P.S. Adult Children’s Retreat will give you the opportunity to attend grief seminar sessions specifically designed for your needs, participate in challenging and fun outdoor, activities and receive support from peers who truly understand.  It is our goal for you to leave the retreat feeling relaxed, with a continuing support system and a tremendous sense of personal growth and self-awareness for the future.
